Berkeley! (Part One)

We left for Berkeley at 6:30 a.m. and arrived around 1:30 p.m.  We made a couple stops along the way for gas and food.  On the way out of L.A. we listened to various songs dedicated to the city - "Los Angeles" by X and "California Girls" by The Beach Boys.  We also passed the time by listening to old "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" shows.

Upon arriving to Berkeley we immediately checked into our hotel - The Berkeley Travelodge.  Not the fanciest hotel but it is close to campus.

After a quick check-in we rushed over to Cheese Board before they closed at 3p.m.  The pizza of the day was cilantro, mozzarella cheese, pesto, roasted sweet corn and balsamic vinagrette (yum!).  Andrew and I shared a half a pizza.
